Workshop in the framework of the 23rd European Biomass Conference and Exhibition,

Wednesday 3 June 2015, 14:00 – 17:00,

Room Schubert 3, Messe Wien Congress Center, Vienna, Austria

This event aims to provide a wide and clear overview of the short rotation plantations (SRPs) sector, facilitating knowledge transfer, encouraging trans-sector synergies and creating new chances for international cooperation.

The most promising market opportunities and the core sustainability aspects will be illustrated by relevant stakeholders representing public authorities, business and research entities. Participants will be invited to take part in the debate, sharing their point of view and comparing different experiences related to the development, implementation, monitoring and utilisation of SRPs for the production of woody biomass on local scale.

The event “Short Rotation Plantation – A winning strategy for sustainable production and efficient use of woody biomass”is organised by the European Biomass Industry Association (EUBIA) with the support of ROKWOOD, a project financed by the FP7 programme “Regions of Knowledge” of the European Commission.
